So Lexe Selman, a girl who has played on my soccer team for 8 years, was diagnosed with AML, a rare form of Leukemia, less than two months ago. She just finished her first round of Chemo and is about to start her second. She's been out of the hospital for 5 days now, she starts her second round on Wednesday.
We had a tournament this weekend and she tagged along, getting permission to play in exactly 1 minute at the start of the game.
Leave it to Selman to do the ridiculous. Naturally, after not touching a soccer ball for 5 weeks, most people would look like Sebastien in "She's the Man". But Selman's Selman. So her natural is scoring in the one minute she gets to play.
